EVENTS

In collaborative partnership with other organisations, the TTCF works to create, deliver and enrich events across Tamworth, with a specific goal to improve footfall, community cohesion, participation and accessibility across the town centre.

Past events in which the TTCF worked as a key stakeholder include the historic Offa Procession in March 2024 and the Athelstan 1100 celebrations in July 2024. These events increased footfall to the town centre by over 500% and established an effective framework for future development and exciting, creative possibilities for further integration from local businesses, third party sectors and the Local Authority.

Forthcoming events include:

Athelstan 1100 2025 : July 19th - July 27th

Following the tremendous success of last year's celebrations, we aim for Athelstan 1100 to be bigger and better in 2025! The TTCF is instrumental in creating an exciting, attractive series of events during the week themed around Tamworth's Anglo-Saxon heritage.

The shape of the celebrations is still being worked out but TTCF members will have significant input into driving the success of the week-long events.

As well as one-off and special events, TTCF also works to deliver ongoing improvements to day-to-day business in the town centre: for more details please click here.
